October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. An international campaign aimed at raising awareness and educating the public about the disease, its causes, prevention, early detection, treatment options, etc. Fundraising for further medical research is a key element of this health campaign, as is support for those affected by breast cancer.
Throughout this month, A MINUTE TO YOUR HEALTH will address topics like the recent controversy involving mammograms, breast reconstruction surgery and radiation therapy for breast cancer. These are important subjects that, unfortunately, will affect all of us directly or indirectly.
